Hola guys~we meet again in my life my story blog~ here I will share with u guys about my second day in Seoul. It was a Shiny morning day, we woke up at 8.30 in the morning, I looked outside through the window, waw the sun was so bright, I taught for sure the weather will be hot today, but I didn’t want to get wrong judgment again, because according to Becca, even though it was shining but because of the wind, u will feel very cold. Just imagine, during spring, the temperature was 6’c in the morning. I couldn’t stand for it! It was too cold for my wife and me. We packed our belonging, took bath and took a light breakfast with instant noodle that we brought form Kuala Lumpur ( mee Maggi) and Milo. Then at 10.15 am we checked out and down to the car park to meet Mr. Hostel (since I didn’t know his real name) to ask him to send us back to the airport in order to take subway train to Downtown Seoul (for your information, if you are staying near the airport, and wanted to go to Seoul by train, u have to go back to the airport). At the airport we used our T- money to pay the train’s fare to Seoul Station. It took about 50 minutes from Incheon airport to Seoul Station. Don’t worry, u can get seats from here to Seoul and no need to hassle to get it, less people use train to Seoul, but beware if you are in Seoul in using train, it’s quite difficult to get a seat. Besides that, from my experience, if you are carrying a lot of heavy baggage, use the lift instead of escalator, because from the point you pay the fare to the point u queue to ride train, it’s far far away and like from level 6 to basement. From the second day to day 6, we were staying at Backpacker Mr.Sea at Hyehwa Street near to Sungkyunkwan University. The street life was so happening at there, very crowded with teenagers and university’s students during evening and at night. Here you can find McDonald, Burger King, Baskin & Robins, Gakuya (haircut saloon), CGV ( cinema), Watson, Daiso, Subway restaurant, Dunkin Donuts, restaurants, flea market and so on. After we reached Hyehwa, we went to Subway café first to fill our stomach, need to recharge back our energy before finding the backpacker. After that we found the Backpacker Mr.Sea, the building not so big, and the fence is painted with blue and the building is brown color. Then we met Ran, the staff of Backpacker Mr.Sea, He is a student of Sungkyunkwan University, He could spoke English very fluently so not so difficult to have a conversation about Seoul with him. There is a cat named Miss Sea, she is very cute hahahaha but she couldn’t say meowwww, maybe she didn’t understand my language in Bahasa Malaysia. After we paid the rent for private deluxe ensuite room, we left our baggage there since the room not been prepared yet, so we decided to go to Gyeongbokgung palace near Gwanghwamun.

| Use the lift instead of using the escalator, otherwise you will get bumped and tired |

Gyeongbokgung Palace
Info about Gyeongbokgung, also known as Gyeongbokgung Palace or Gyeongbok Palace, is a royal palace located in northern
Seoul, South Korea. First constructed in 1394 and reconstructed in 1867, it was the main and largest palace of the
Five Grand Palaces built by the
Joseon Dynasty. The name of the palace,
Gyeongbokgung, translates in English as "Palace of Shining Happiness."
Nearly destroyed by the Japanese government in the early 20th century, the palace complex is slowly being restored to its original form prior the destruction. As of 2009, roughly 40 percent of the original number of palace buildings still stand or are being reconstructed.
Here you can see the ceremony of changing guard~ but there is a time if you want to see the ceremony, it’s from 11 am – 3 pm. Here we managed to try Hanbok for free! Kansahamnida!!!

After that we wanted to go to Blue House, its’ a President house same like White House in United State, but due of lack of time, Becca my sister in law had to go back to University, from Seoul She had to use bus and it took 4 hours. The last bus is at 6.30 pm so we went to bus express terminal, bought ticket.
Gwanghwamun
We took train from Gwanhwamun station to buss express terminal station. Before that we had our lunch at Dunkin Donut. Here Dunkin Donut is very famous, but in Malaysia Krispy kreme donuts, J.co and Big apple Donut more famous than Dunkin. I drank Caramel Machiato because felt cold. Then we took few photos at Gwanghwamun Square. A little information about Gwanghwamun Square, Gwanghwamun was reconstructed in 1867 along with the rest of Gyeongbokgung Palace by the order of regent
Daewongun during the reign of
Emperor Gojong. The gate stood until 1926, when the
Japanese government had it deconstructed and moved it just to the southeast of the current location of the
National Folk Museum of Korea to make way for the massive
Japanese Governor General Building.
Here u can see 2 big statues representing the Gwanghwamun square, if u watch Iris and Athena which are Kdrama, for sure u will familiar with this place.

Backpacker Mr.Sea
After bought ticket for Becca, we went back to our backpacker then checked in. A funny thing, my wife wondering and asked Mr Ran (backpacker’s staff) why the aircond couln’t be used? He told us in spring and winter, Korean doesn’t use aircond, luckily we didn’t use, it was damn cold at night and even in the afternoon. The interior of the room, it furnished with stove, washing machine, queen size bed, small toilet, window without curtain and an aircond which cannot be operated. For the towel, hairdryer and kettle u have to ask from Mr.Ran to get it. Trust me, if you wash your jeans and hang in the room for a night, it will totally dried by the next morning!!! The amazing thing here is Ondol, Korean heater floor. How to go there, From Seoul station, take train to Hyehwa, then go exit 4 to Sunkyunwan university form the subway station. Walks straight till u found Subway café, then cross the street, to Dunkin Donut, walk to your right and you will see Daiso and Gakuya, Backpacker is hidden near the Gakuya Hair salon. Actually our first intention to stay at Backpacker Inside, because there provide desktop computer in the room but due to fully booked during that time, we chose Backpacker Mr.Sea and it was not bad, the place near to Dongdaemun (shopping), Myeongdong (shopping area) and seoul station.

Itaewon
At night, we didn’t want to waste our precious time in Korea, so we continued our journey. My wife craving for meat as our dinner and she told me she couldn’t live without eating meat in a day. No power she said!!! So I brought her to Itaewon, this place u can see foreigners live here, big mosque (but I didn’t have chance to visit there due to rainy day), souvenir’s shops and Muslim Halal restaurant. We had a buffet dinner at Moghul Restaurant for 25,000 Won per person and the taste was sooooo bad!!!Not delicious at all!!!
End report for day!!
